Africa/Kampala
Description

Join us for an insightful webinar featuring the remarkable journey of eduroam deployments across Uganda, spearheaded by the Research and Education Network for Uganda (RENU). This session will showcase how eduroam, the global wireless network access service for the academic and research community, has been successfully implemented in various educational institutions throughout the country.

The session will also address common technical challenges encountered during usage and setup of eduroam deployments and provide practical troubleshooting techniques, such as handling authentication failures, connectivity issues, and integration with local infrastructure. Additionally, best practices for managing and optimizing eduroam services will be discussed, including tips on configuration, security policies, scaling for large campuses, and ensuring user privacy while maintaining high-performance connectivity. A dedicated Q&A session with the RENU team offering attendees the opportunity to engage directly, ask questions, and receive tailored advice on implementing or improving eduroam at their own institutions.

Who Should Attend: IT professionals, network engineers and anyone from the RENU community interested in discovering how RENU is harnessing the power of eduroam for academic excellence and research collaboration.
